Tomb N°5 of el-Kab was created by the nomarch Paheri for
his maternal grandfather, Ahmose, son of Abana. It includes a famous historic
autobiography of this great soldier and sailor, which has been the object of
numerous studies. This is because it is one of the only documents relating the
expulsion of the Hyksos from Egypt and the military campaigns of the first
sovereigns of the XVIIIth Dynasty.
